BCHN Celebrates Health Leaders & A Musical Legend at Gala

BCHN held its annual fundraising gala on October 11 at Marina Del Rey.  The 2018 Fall Dinner was hosted by Justin Fornal, and raised money for BCHN's community health and wellness programs.

Patients' Lives Improved with CHWs Integrated into Care Teams!

The integration of community health workers into patient care teams at the health centers in BCHN's network has been an overwhelming success for patients.  Find out more in the video above.

BCHN Board of Directors Treasurer John Ruiz and Carmen Ruiz met with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on September 20 at a Gracie Mansion event honoring Hurricane Maria first responders.

Every Tuesday morning, BCHN community health worker Rosemarie Archilla leads a patient walking group from University Avenue Family Practice to the farmers' market at Poe Park.


Patients at West Farms Family Practice also walk on Tuesday mornings.  BCHN community health worker Pedro Gonzalez leads the group to the La Familia Verde farmers' market.

 
BCHN community health worker Brunella Maravi Calenzani leads the Blood Pressure Program on Wednesday mornings at Bay Eden Senior Center.

BCHN Board of Directors member Robin Bethea attended the Jeffrey T. Latman Family Day at the Races on September 22 at Belmont Park Race Track.    She is pictured above with CHCANYS Board of Directors president Neil S. Calman, who also serves as President and CEO of The Institute for Family Health.


BCHN Board of Directors Treasurer John Ruiz attended Center for an Urban Future's "Preparing NYC for a More Automated Economy" event on September 27.  Among those in attendance were Partnership Fund for New York City president and chief executive officer Maria Gotsch and Workforce Professionals Training Institute executive director Sharon Sewell-Fairman.
